Afriland First Group and BGFI Group join forces
Henri Claude Oyima, Chairperson and CEO of BGFI Holding Corporation and Joseph Toubi, Executive Vice President of Afriland First Group SA, have signed an Inter-Bank Cooperation Agreement this 20 January 2023 in Douala, the economic capital of Cameroon. The Agreement reflects the resolve by both parent Groups to take advantage of opportunities they identified in terms of project co-financing, international trade and shared research.
The Agreement provides for a framework for optimising human resources, ranging from secondment of staff and/or teams, to training of staff in their respective Training Centres. Both signatories explained the vision driving their respective institutions:
According to Henri Claude Oyima,Chairperson and CEO of BGFI Holding Corporation: “Through this alliance, we intend, alongside our partner Afriland First Group, to pool our expertise and productivity gains so as to improve our joint offer on this now enlarged market.”
As for Joseph Toubi, Executive Vice President of Afriland First Group SA, “Since its inception, Afriland First Group has always maintained friendly relations with institutions from various backgrounds: development partners, public and private investors, regulatory authorities, and so on. The Agreement we have signed today is in line with the same approach, that is, to go further together to serve our beloved continent and enable it to capture a significant share of the world’s wealth”.
